Teresa is active in many aspects of Music: acoustic/electroacoustic composer, opera singer, and film scoring. She collaborates with a multitude of artists from diverse backgrounds and sensibilities. Originally from the musically rich island of Newfoundland, Teresa studied both Composition and Opera singing at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia Canada as well as the Banff Center for the Arts.
Teresa has received funding through the Canada Council for the Arts as well as the British Columbia Arts Council.
In 2008 Teresa won herself a Leo Award for Best Musicial Score in a Short Drama for her work on DogBoy by Caroline Couttes.
She is also an avid snowboarder !!! and cross-country skier.
